# Can I use Geovelo offline?

It is **not possible** to use Geovelo for navigation, **follow a ride, or search for an address without an internet connection.**
We also do not offer an option to download an offline map of an area.

| You can start recording a journey while offline, although the GPS track may be slightly less accurate. 
| _In this usage scenario, remember to reconnect at the end of the journey to ensure your track is recorded._
